Location
We meet at at the Crossway building in Wheaton, IL. We are in their old warehouse. The entrance for the worship service is around back through a big parking lot. It will also be marked through signs!
Worship Service
Our Sunday morning worship services open with a welcome and some announcements, and then we transition to the time of worship. Worship includes singing, corporate and private prayer, affirming of creeds and liturgy of the church, preaching, and a weekly celebration of the Lord’s Supper. We print a detailed worship folder/bulletin each Sunday, so that worshipers can follow along in the service with ease. The center of our service is the preaching of the Word, which is normally done by our senior pastor. Our normal practice is “expository” preaching, which takes us through a book of the Bible, passage by passage and week by week. There is time for greeting and chatting with people both before and after the service, and we normally serve hot/cold beverages and light snacks.
Children’s Ministry
We take our ministry to the children of CPC very seriously, and we care deeply about helping kids learn God’s Word and grow in their love for Jesus Christ! During the school year, we have age-based Sunday school classes for kids ages 2 through high school preceeding the worship service. Then, during the worship service, we offer nursery for children under 3, and “Junior Church” for children ages 3-6. We invite kids ages 3-6 to stay in the service with their parents through the “Children’s Sermon,” which is given by Pastor Jon each week.
Adult Sunday School
Adult Sunday School also meets preceding the worship service at 9:15am.
Community Groups
Next to Sunday morning attendance, the best way to get plugged in here at CPC is to join one of our Community Groups, which generally meet in the evenings in the homes of small group leaders. We have over a dozen groups, which are centered around Bible study, fellowship, prayer, and service. Contact Pastor Brian if you would like to get connected to a Community Group.
